We believe in open access to education. Therefore, we do not limit participation based on previous qualifications. However, the techniques demonstrated and practiced in this course are designed to deal with emotional trauma. Anyone can learn them. However, it is your responsibility to determine if you can or should work with emotionally traumatized people and if you meet the legal requirements in your jurisdiction. In other words: Taking this course does not make you a therapist if you're not already one!

Level 1 certificate
This certificate is awarded to any participant who attends the entire weekend workshop and demonstrates the following skills:

Prevention of Re-Traumatization: Safely perform techniques for Emotional Stabilization, Distancing and Containment.

Processing distressing experiences safely and at least with the fundamental "EMDR" protocol.
The purpose of the weekend workshop is to guide you towards achieving the Level 1 certificate. In the unlikely event that you are unable to demonstrate these skills during the workshop for any reason, you can use the included supervision time with MB to demonstrate these skills within 12 months of the workshop.
This certificate includes a free listing in our database of DEW practitioners for an unlimited period of time. The database will be released at a later date.
